So I'm not sure why the other girls in this photo are not smiling but I was pretty darn excited to be running in a race. The race was very eventful not only was I able to run 3.1 miles around the city of Salt Lake but I was able to see two bike crashes...right before my very eyes.(both bike riders survived:), I was slapped on the behind by a passing runner...maybe that was their way of saying, "coming up on your left", I was passed by a mom running with her stroller...of three, made a friend with a lady who was so excited that everytime she said something she hit my arm, and finally the finish line where I was able to cross and proudly say that I didn't walk at all. Fun times!! Next race June 7th...the TRIATHLON:)
So I guess Wendy didn't see the memo...this races theme was 70's....Erika with the Tie-die and me in my "statement" shirt.

I should've worn my glasses, bandana, bell bottoms and mood ring with my hair straight down. Maybe next time. No maybe I'll just do the butt slapping thing-"passing on the left" -to all the guys of course! ;)
So I was wondering what was going on in this picture- awkward comes to mind. Are you guys trying to be statues?
