Being a good example...

So recently in my class I taught about Global Warming and the effects it has on our environment. I encouraged my students to take action and make a difference. One student raised their hand and asked, "What do you do Ms. Anderson to "go gree" and make a difference?" I wished I could have said something besides my lame answer that I sold my gas hog and bought a Mazda. :) So...today I went out and bought a plant and pump hairspray. On an internet site I found while I was researching for my class it said that two easy ways to go green and help the planet are:

1. plant a plant

2. no sprays...

that stuff is bad and has CFC's (clouroflourocarbons)...it case you were wondering what it meant. They are bad greenhouse gases that effect our atmosphere in a "planet threatening" way.

So anyway, next year when students ask me what i'm doing to go green I can give them a straight answer.

GO GREEN!

If you are interested in getting a plant like mine it's a Bonsai Ficus Ginseng it's 10 bucks at
the store. Easy keep up and great for beginners.

That's a cute plant. What store did you buy it at? I've been contemplating buying some plants but then I think of the time and effort to take care of them. I am happy you didn't let that dissuade you from giving this beautiful little plant a home. Good job to you!
